HAWTHORNE, NY (September 5, 2007) - An Open House was held on September 5, 2007 at Reveo Headquarters and our eVionyx facility. eVionyx revealed its design for the Electric Mobility Vehicle (EMV) bus to potential sponsors of this project. The EMV event is intended to demonstrate and unprecedented dlectric bus capable of refuelability after 375 miles using zinc-air cells and an endurance in excess of 10,000 miles. This project is planned in collaboration with Electric Mobility Canada.
EMV characteristics show that eVionyx's alternative fuel technology in conjuntion with its nickel-zinc batteries is the most viable option when compared with the so-called lithium economy, the hydrogen economy and the ethanol economy. These alternatives have severe limitations of cost, performance, safety and availability of material.
At the Open House, representatives of utility companies, bus companies and mining companies and other dignitaries attended. A tour of the eVionyx facility was given along with demonstrations of the technology and rides on the 100 mile range pure electric vehicle, as well as the eVionyx battery-powered E-bike and golf cart. Dr. Sadeg Faris asked, "For transportation, UPS, storage and renewability, what choices do we have?" He answered, "The answer is, in spite of the hype of all other alternative energies, the EMV demonstration will loudly tell the world that zinc based alternative fuel and storage are the right choice."
